Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Sent off my CPR 18 request today. Just to give them a nudge and encourage them to acknowledge. See if I actually get some response from them this time.
My mcol was issued on 1/12/06 and deemed served on 6/12/06. I sent it to the Trinity Road, Halifax, address. It's showing up on the MCOL website as acknowledged. Just changed from issued. I haven't actually received anything in the post yet. Waiting for the next letter though
Just checked my account online and the bank has paid in EVERYTHING I have been claiming. £2294 charges and a separate £430 interest and costs. Happy Christmas or what.
Received letter from bank today saying "on a purely commercial basis ... unlikely to recover costs (even if the bank wins)." Interesting bit was the last paragraph "If you incur any future charges the bank reserves the right to withdraw your banking facilities." Seems they accept that they won't be able to make any more charges so they'll just close the account.
Well congratulations to you I have not been that lucky yet. They eeventuallly acknowledged claim and have until tuesday 2nd to put in their defence thought I would have had a letter from them but nothing today. What with the bank holiday dont know what they are playing at as they dont have time to defend now.
Havent checked account today though so you never know.
Well no defence from the bank yet. Been advised to give them a little longer. Hoping somthing will be here tommorrow. The money would be good.Fingers crossed. You have been very lucky
