Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
If a bailiff is planning on removing your car then he must notify the local police before he actually executes the warrant. As he would be open to taking by force and other serious proceedings if he did not. !!!!

Bailiffchaser - this is simply not the case. Although it is good practice to advise the police when removing goods in the absence of the debtor, it is not a legal requirement. The bailiff removes a vehicle subsequent to seizing it under the authority of a warrant. From that point on it is lawfully in his possession (his legal control) and while he has a duty of care to maintain its current condition, he has no duty to inform the police.
