Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have received back from Lloyds all the charges that were unfairly taken off me. I had requested this under the data protection act. Most of the charges were from before 6 years and in fact started in about 1989. I have read the FAQ and looked at the section regarding claiming charges that are over 6 years old.
I have 3 questions.
i) Is there a thread on this where a user has taken on Lloyds for charges 6 years and over?
ii) This £12 figure mentioned in the FAQ
The OFT by their investigation has announced that at least all charges more than £12.00
can I claim for £5 charges which I incured when taken out money from a cash machine.
iii) Drat. I did have a third question but I have now forgotten it. I will edit this post when I remember it.
Hi
Firstly I don't know about the 6 year limit, so I'll leave that to someone else.
As for the £12, *I think* that was just referring to credit card charges??
Sorry I couldn't be any help!
