Thread: PRelim Approach & Spreadsheets

I have just filled my preliminaryt approach letter and filled in the simple charges spreadsheet, without the 8% interest calculation, is this the right way to do this. I have just read about this and i am slightly confused.


Please help, i want to send this off tonight as i have already delayed for too long.

You cannot claim statutory interest until you raise the claim in court, so yes, leave off the 8%. Correct.

You can however claim contractual interest from the outset if you know the arguements to fight for it. This can be substantially more.
