Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just to say what a great forum! Although I havent had to worry too much about bank charges myself, I have plenty of friends who have paid through the nose for them. Some will be signing up on here before long.
On another note, I saw a post (somewhere) about using your rights to only have manual searches done to your credit file and not automated ones. I wouldnt mind doing this for myself but cant find the thread where all the details were posted... please help
Edit: typical... suddenly I found it, was looking in the wrong place!

not the best thing to do IMHO..
An auto-search comes along, looks at your credit history, nothing there, no credit. Finito.
I can't really see what advantage this provides you.
