Hi 30some, welcome to the family.

Different banks use different titles for their charges, and I'm not familiar with the titles used by RBOS.

I would suggest that you start your own thread in the RBOS forum and post any questions and progress reports there.

You will be able to draw on the experience of other users who are dealing with RBOS.

    Good luck with your claim.

    30some v RBoS

I have sent the first letter detailing all the charges for the past five years and requested full payment.

The standard letter I have used gives 14 days to respond, I sent the letter recorded delivery however they are getting close to the 14 day deadline. What happens if they miss the date, does it severely strengthen my claim.

Once the deadline has passed, you send your second letter, which should be the lbaicon. It is quite normal not to get a reply and it does neither strengthen nor weaken your claim.

iGroup (GE Money) - AoS Filed late, defence late, amended defence also late despite extra time requested and granted.
Vanquis - Claim issued, no AoS or Defence received

Right I have moved all your posts together this is your thread please keep your questions here.
    As regards your earlier comments.
The subscription charges for the Royalties Gold account is something that cannot be claimed as it is a service that gives additional benefits over and above a normal current or saver account.
Maintenance charges are reclaimable they are a disguised penalty.
