Must I prove my ID?

Hi Guys

I am new to this corner of the Forum

I sent of my S.A.R - (Subject access request icon

) to Egg

and I have received a letter today demanding that I prove my identity before they will comply.

Is this standard practise? Afterall this address is the address that they have on record and usually use to communicate with me.

They are asking for original documents and not copies!

Is this just dirty delaying tactics on behalf of Egg?

I have never been asked to prove my identity with any other company I have sent SAR icon

's to.

From what I've gathered about the shelled one, if there's a delaying tactic, they'll use it - haven't even started my own claim with Egg icon

If I may ask, what ID are they asking for - may include it with my SAR icon

so they can't stall me on that one

They are asking for an original of one of the following:

1. A bank, building society or credit card statement (but not relate to an Egg icon

account).

2. A store or catalogue statement.

3. A utility bill.

Hi

They done the same with me and made reference to a delayed reponse in for the data info due to the need for ID. I've heard Egg icon

are buggers to claim from, but hopefully we will all have some luck
