Default Re: GE Money - what to claim back

I took a 6yr I-Group loan out and when the term finished in May this year I still owed them £1400 (all charges!!)

I have a similar set of charges to reclaim as you.

I went to the CAB and asked somebody there about the Sol. Interim legal fees and it seems that's a 'service' and we can't claim that back (and should count ourselves lucky its only £460 because they have a scale that says upto £1000 for repossession is not unknown!!!!!)

Don't know about the litigation referal fee, I didn't get one of those.

I am going for Default Notice Fee, DD returns and Arrears fees plus interesticon at THEIR rate. (A very nice lady is sending me the Interest rate history under my S.A.R - (Subject access requesticon)).

See if you can get any info off them about 'DD.Journal' (I assume you've had them)....they seem to be a mechanism for paying off charges, but I haven't had it made clear whether this came out of the normal monthly charges or if it was an extra payment that was made. (I can't remember, it was 6 yrsicon ago and I have a memory like a sieve )

Apparently they stopped doing it in 2002 so the girl I spoke to wasn't sure exactly what it was for (I think she was probably about 12 in 2002 )

If it was funded by us, however, then that needs to be added IMO.
