Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Woolwich have sent my charges - but I'm a little afraid!
I saw on GMTV this morning that more and more people are being taken to court.
I am 100% commited to getting my money back, but a little worried that a lawyer of a big bank will eat me alive.
I have my Breakdown to show I have paid £570 in charges!!
Remember its important to open a parachute account, especially if the charges are spiralling out of control and you have little or no money left, at the end of each month.
If you get stuck have a look (by searching) to see if your question has already been asked by reading other people threads, if you are still not sure either post your question in your own thread or PM me and I will be happy to help you.
Also look for another newbie claiming against the same bank as you, that way you can do your claim together and support each other as the post drops through the door!!
Sometimes the banks act awfully and you can get very stressed out by it all. But stick to your guns - you are in the right - they are not. Don’t let them put you off, that’s what they want to do!
Hope this helps
Im also claiming aginst the Woolwich so I will keep an eye on your thread to see if you need any help!!!
Good Luck

sorry re-reading that I was wrong, and not at all clear.
He said that more and more of the banks are letting it get to court, whereas perviously more cases were being settled before this stage. It made me nervous.

I think what he measn is - the banks are waiting until the court gives a hearing date.......
Then they are settling a dayor two before this date!!!
They are relying on the fact we are normal people and are scared of facing the jduges and hot shot corporate lawyers.
Howver they actually have more to be sacred of - hence why they settle.
It is worth remembering that notone high street bank has attended court yet even though there have been 100s and 100s of court date issued!
I have had three myself - all very scary all settled 2 weeks before the hearing!!!
