Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
After a couple of months of watching this site I have finally plucked up the courage to go through the motions. I have just typed up my DPA request. I presume it is sent to my branch manager.
I am ready for this to go all the way and feel confident that I will reclaim four years worth of charges.
I will keep you all informed so that we can all learn from my case and force those banks into a corner.
I chased mine after 14 calender days. Again by RD.
Suggest you do the same. It does take a few days for the letter to get to the processing unit in B'ham and for them to request the information or find the time to gather the info and screen print. (I can't work out which one it is!)
If you still have no joy after 21 days, come back and I can give you a number for the lady who sent me my stuff.
Just remember the longer it takes the more pennies they owe you!
Well its me again, Sent my dpa request a fortnight ago and in line with Loulas advice I am planning to send a follow up letter by RD, however where do I send it? To my local branch?
Hi Kingstuee,
I sent e-mail to penny.berryman@lloydstsb. co.uk on the 19th day and 3 days later they arrived. The address you are after is at the top of the forum under data protection manager by bank fodder.Good luck.
