Time retail finance says cant locate settled account statements, what now???

Time retail finance say they cant get me statements of my old account i settled 2 years ago, they say its not possible now at all despite me sending a SARS request.

What now???

Anyone had trouble getting statements for closed accounts for time retail finance, seems there being awkward with me? Any dept numbers or contacts/addresses to get my statements when my account was settled 2 years ago.

Arrgh over 30 days now and still no luck, called today to be told they looking into it, anything i can do, or speak too to resolve this?

My account was closed over 2 years ago and my account number doesnt bring anything up now.

This is stupid isn't it. Have you moved address since you had an account with them? I would write (not 'phone) giving them previous addresses if appropriate and put bit of SAR icon

letter "If there is specific information which you require to satisfy yourself as to my identity, please let me know by return." The rest of that paragraph will be relevant if you have not moved.

I would put into your letter that you will give them 14 days to reply and after that you will be bringing this matter to the attention of the Information Commission.

Send it using Royal Mail's free 'Proof of Posting' so they cannot say the letter was not received.

I had assumed he had trouble getting account ref no. Should have asked this. If I had brains............. Good suggestion.
