Hey folks I have got to the stage where the deadline for my lba has passed and I am now in the middle of completing Small Claims paperwork. As I am in Scotland I know it's slightly different to England and am wondering if someone could confirm the following;
* My claim can only be up to £750 - Is this bank charges only or does the £750 include the interest and charges?
and
* Can I only claim back the past 5 yrs of charges or is it 6yrs?
i included the charges and interest in section 4. state in section 7 the Breakdown of claim e.g total £685 (£550 charges plus £135 interest.)
i'm claiming back six years. just figured i would see what happens.
Hi, You can only go back 5 years in Scotland. I think if you go back 6 the bank will go to court and tell the judge your claim is time barred!
Have a look at my claim below regarding interest ect.
Best wishes.
Scott.
