Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
13.10 I sent prelim letter asking for £260 back.
22.10 B.Card wrote and offered £104.
29.10 I wrote a "letter before action" and said "I will not accept your offer of £104....If you do not comply within 14 days I shall begin a claim etc".
6.11 B.Card write to say they are not prepared to consider anything more than £104.
14.11 I put in an claim via the online court service. Today I get my Barclaycard statement which shows "late payment refund" of £104 credited to my account on 22.10!!
What do I need to do? write to them thanking them for this part payment? And do I need to inform the court? Any help welcome.
Just thought I'd ask again - even though I declined their offer of just less than half what I am claiming, they still credited me that amount into my barclaycard account. Do I have to do anything or just wait to hear cak from the court?

You have already filed a claim with the court goldenboy so just sit back and wait now. They still owe you another £156. They are most likely to refund the balance and enter a defence on the basis of having paid it.
