Hi everyone just wanting some help and advice with pre-booked seats please for my son.

He booked to go on holiday with On The Beach in September. When it came to adding extras like luggage etc all was great. He paid his deposit and the rest is due over the next 6 weeks. He has received confirmation and all the details of his holiday and information on how to book in on line. He has been given the option to pre-book his seats on the plane but at a cost of £12.50 each way and an admin cost of £30.....ridiculous price!!! We had a look on Ryan Air and it's only £7 each way......is there anyway round not booking the seats through On The Beach and going straight through to Ryan Air....Thanks.

You should hopefully have a 6 digit flight booking ref, you could try that on the Ryanair website. It will be a set of random Numbers/Letters

I should imagine that if he wanted to do this, that he would need the Ryan Air booking number and he would need to contact them to pay for this upgrade. I can't imagine that Ryan Air would not deal with the upgrade, as the booking will be in your Sons name. It is not like a charter flight with Thomson. Ryan Air run scheduled flights.

On the flight details it gives you the flight number and there is another reference number which is a mixture of numbers and letters. I will ring Ryan air as I think what on the beach is charging is criminal. Thanks.

I would not ring them, extra charges for that option, just go to their website

as for any travel agent who charge to book seats over and above airline charges needs taking down by the ABTA etc as unfair contracts - never use that site again book eleswhere
