Please if there is someone who could help me I would appreciate it very much.

I took out a loan in 2005 for £5000 with Lloyds tbs and continued to pay it back until September 2008 and the amount I paid back was £6100 .

I came out of work in 2008 and informed the bank as I thought I had ppi with the loan and was all sorted and protected

in 2017 put house on the market ready to be sold but received a phone call From solicitors saying that there was a charge of on my house,

,I feel so sick about this and so upset as this could prevent the sale of my house .

Got in touch with Cabot financial asking where this was from and they said it was a unsecured loan bought off Lloyds

I had to pay back £9100

have to get in touch with Mortimer Clarke solicitors in West Sussex who are now dealing with the case .

I have all my bank statements with every payment I paid back to lloyds .

Please help as I need to remove the charge ASAP,,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my thread x

Thank you for your reply,,,No just myself.

Am i correct that the loan was in just your own name and that you own your property in your sole name?

Its important and your answer is a little unclear.

well yes it can thus prevent the sale of your home

and you'll have no choice if you do but to pay it.

july 2015

which means the CCJ that caused this would have been granted some months before that.

let me guess

you moved from the address where you took this credit out at

and simply ran away from your debts.

and they quite legally filed everything to your old address

as you didn't inform your creditors you had moved???

you're gonna have to expand on the story history and tell us about the debt if we can possible do something about it now 2yrs later...

your credit file will have the CCJ number

give northants bulk a ring

ask for a copy of the claimform

and

the CCJ

No I am still at the address and

yes I guess I did bury my head in the sand

at the time I was going through a berevement

I know this is no excuse but I genuinely thought I paid the loan back

,I did pay ,£,6.100

I may owe a few hundred but no more

should I tell them to take it out proceeds of sale or do you think they would take a offer.

the loan was a £5000 personal loan and continued to pay for 3 years till 2008 ,

,can they charge this amount

the only thing I may owe is a bit of interest on the loan as £6.100 was paid back to the bank.

How much of the £5K loan remained owing in 2008?

What was the interest rate per year?

Debt can rapid increase with monthly Compound Interest if no payment received, currently £9k+.

You don't have to pay it up front, as it should be paid direct to Lloyds-TSB from property sale proceeds, though for CGT purposes you have to declare full sale price proceeds.

Also check your Credit Report for missed payments to Lloyds-TSB loan.

Your Property sale should not be affected.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread,,

the bank said it was sold on to Cabot financial and will not give any information,

emailed them and they said Mortimar Clark Solicitors are dealing with this on their behalf ,

Cabot requested the charge on my property

when i went through bank statements

i made thirtyseven £159.98 payments and the final direct debit payment was £153.42 .

I think the loan was paid because of the last payment being different ,

cannot understand why this is so high even if there is a bit of interest owed.

i am not sure what the interest rate was ,

sorry,

it was a personal loan over three years and i paid it for three year

missed 1 payment half way through but carried on .

i cannot seem to get any answers

paid back £6.158 back of the £5000 loan.

I have checked credit report it just says Lloyds tsb Unsecured loan does not mention payments..

i am worried to speak on phone to anyone

done all via email because alot of people said do not speak direct until you know more.

. any help appreciated.thank you x

I bet this is due to unlawful penalty fees added when you missed that payment ot two

and the associated interest Lloyds added to them?

totally unlawful as well.

i'd be getting an sar running to Lloyds.

TBH: we are shooting in the dark trying to address this without info.

and the last bit of post 8 needs doing too.
