Parents OUTRAGED after school asks children to write suicide notes for class project

A SCHOOL has apologised for upsetting children after asking pupils to write suicide notes as part of a class project.

Pupils at the 1,700-pupil Thomas Tallis School in Kidbrooke, south east London, were asked to write suicide notes in an English class after studying Shakespeare's Macbeth.

More than 60 teenage pupils were asked to write a suicide note to their loved ones after studying the play, written by William Shakespeare in 1606.

One mum, who asked not to be named, said her daughter had lost three friends after they killed themselves, and that her daughter was 'very distressed' after being asked to write the suicide note.

She said that she confronted the school as soon as her daughter told her about being asked to write a suicide note.
