Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi there, my understanding is that if they haven't replied by the due date, go to MCOL, Judgement, Start, there is "The defendant has not filed an admission or defence to my claim". Click this and let the court issue the full ammount in your favour as they are in default, but I would ring the MCOL helpline to check.
Re: Barclays have tried to get my claim struck out??
Wow,Laura,
Just shows that one little slip and the buggers are all over you. This should be a reminder to all of us to be careful. I certainly will double check things.
Very good luck, Laura.
Hi there,
I currently am persuing Barclays for the sum of approx. £1400. I have a Court date of the 22nd December. What paperwork should I be putting together to submit before the hearing? I know they ar notorious for paying out a couple of days before the hearing but I can't just sit back and wait for it presuming the settle. If they don't (what with me being what is commonly known as a Jonah) then I'll look pretty daft if I turn up in court with nothing?
Any advice? All gratefully recieved.
(Apologies if I've not added this correctly - I'm a bit thick.)
