Hi Guys,

I Purchased an Apple MacBook 13.3-inch Laptop from amazon UK seller DA TECH PRO on 27 May 2016. Laptops screen failed in February 2017

I have taken it to apple store as seller states this item had one year manufacturer warranty.

Applestore checked the system and advised that item was not under warranty and it was purchased from John Lewis on 14/01/15.

Then I contacted seller and requested my money back or replacement for this laptop as i was clearly deceived at the point of sale.

After several email exchanges seller asked me to sent item to them in order to have it fixed.

I send the item and seller confirmed to have received it on 19/03/2017.

However despite several email exchanges and confirmations seller has not fixed or returned my laptop, they have not refunded my money either as of 16/05/2017.

This item was a gift to my friends daughter who was using it for schoolwork.

She hasn't been able to use it ever since.

I am angry both with seller and amazon.

Clearly seller DA TECH PRO ripped me off and amazon is not doing about it.

As you might expect I contacted amazon several times,

they most of the time said its not their problem i should do this and that.

I called to find out where the seller is

but they told me they will claim my money back and sent this email

"I'm sorry about the problem experienced with your order. I've submitted an A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee claim on your behalf for this order, for "Apple MacBook 13.3-inch Laptop

Guarantee claims generally take from 7-10 business days to be investigated.

You'll receive an e-mail notification from our Claims Team once their investigation is complete.

You can track the processing of this claim at any time by clicking the "File/View Claim" button next to this order in the Your Orders section of Your Account"

However a week after that they said this was a mistake and they cant help me out i must sort it out with seller who does not respond or return my laptop.

I want take both amazon and seller to court and ideally get my laptop fixed asap or money (£1024 ) i paid in full.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you ..
