Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I was advised to post this in here,
so here goes.
I opened an account with barclaycard
who closed the account when I went
over the £700 limit.
since opening the account in 1994
charges have been added to the account
and the balance is now in the region
of £3000.
I am now being pursued by Robinson, Way & Co
who are now chasing the debt
Hi Candygirl: You had better start reading through threads here to start with. It will help others to help you if you post up exact details with dates etc..
Do you know when was the last time you had any contact with Barclaycard
about the debt- and by contact I mean that you either paid some money off the amount or admiitted in some way that you knew you owed them money?
Well that's good news. The only problem now is whether a ccj has been
applied to your debt, and if it has, when it expires, if it hasn't yet.
Take o look at your credit report and you will see if there is one. Once you
know, come back and let us know.
