Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Recieved a letter today offering me £100 pounds back of my £300 pound claim. I called the number provided to let them know i would be continuing my claim and therefore would not be requiring the money offered. The guy listened to what i had to said and then offered me £292. I accepted this offer as i was not prepared to quibble over the last £8. I know i possibly gave up to soon but the bank balance will be happy!
i sent one letter to my local branch, but recieved no reply so i sent the same letter as an email via the website and within 3 weeks i recieved the letter saying they would offer me £100 so i called them and told them no. and they increased there offer to £292 which is apparently the charges i had paid in the last 6 months. (it was a very new account i had with them)
