Hi Guys,

Need some guidance here. I sent 3 repeated letters Lloyds asking for proof of debt/original contract/claim against me/original credit agreement) have now passed it over to Fidelite DCA and rather than sending me several letters like others demanding payment they are going to pay a visit they stated date and time (which is good).

What is my best course of action? Anyone else dealt with these guys?

See attached letter

Nothing to do with bailiffs or any type of enforcement. They are simply enquiry agents often on commission only who visit to see if they can obtain payment.

You can safely ignore them and beyond a few knocks on the door they are unlikely to continue visiting.

If you want to send them a letter advising that you only accept communications in writing you can do that. Under FCA debt collection guidelines, creditors do have to follow their customers wishes in regard to communication methods.

This is a CAG letter that can be used.

You don't have to let their Doorstepper in if you don't want to. They have no legal powers whatsoever.

The bailiff: A 12th Century solution re-branded as Enforcement Agents for the 21st Century to seize and sell debtors goods as before Oh so Dickensian!

HAHA fidelite a bailiff...NOT A CHANCE

no legal powers ever just like any DCA.

what does your credit file say about this card?

I wouldn't be sending them any letters yet

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • 4 weeks later...

They came twice to my door just ignored them they posted a card to call them with a reference number through the door. The envelope was marked IMPORTANT. I sent them a letter asking to prove debt and also I will be invoicing them per letter received they sent me a letter to say they are not dealing with it anymore and passing it back to Lloyds banks.

They just came twice in a period of 2 weeks and didn't open the door and they left a calling card with reference number on it. They send a letter the next day saying they are not dealing with it anymore passing it back to Lloyds.

Ah,

the envelope was marked IMPORTANT.

That makes all the difference.

You cant invoice them for anything so they will be impressed by your ignorance and probably be trying their luck again. Foxtrot Off would have been better.

they appear to have given up.

If the paperwork didnt exist the first time around why would some other disinterested party suddenly have it and not go back to court.
