Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.

Rec Friday 1st a letter offering a very respectable (NOT!!) £1,000.00. Hell I fell off my chair. I thought I was in a comedy club!
I phoned them back on the number provided and told them i would not acccept that. They then called back today offering £2,000.00. I thought Xmas was here and told them no see you on court.
To add insult to injury, we setted our mortgage with them last week, and they added £1,247.94 to the settlement figure which was all bank charges on our Open Plan account which we have not used in over 12 months.
All I can say is that I am going all the way on this one!!!!
I am going to complet the MCOL tomorrow. The best part of this is that I once a long time ago worked for a bank and my job was to file in my branch the returned cheques and complete the account DR/CR slips on the bounced ones and the additional jobs it entailed so if Woolwich defend I can be my own expert witness when it comes to the costs that might have been accrued in the old days (the 1980's)
Can anyone give me any tips when battling Woolwich.
I have done the MCOL, and am ready to submit, but the account we had was a joint account. On the MCOL it only allows 1 person to make the claim. Will this affect or is it allowed to have only ojne of the two names on the account.

OK, Woolwich have now filed their defence and I have received the aq through.
I will be completing it tomorrow night to send off and I have printed out the site answers.
Before I do though, are there any nice new things I can add onto it as in references to cases that have happened recently that will add weight to it?
Thanks
