Hi all, I was looking for some advice.

I placed an order with ScS for a sofa on 31/12/16.

We were unable to get finance for the sofa but the sales guy happily told us we could haVe sort of reverse finance and pay monthly before we got the sofa - happy days we thought.

We have so far paid 1500 of a 2000 bill with the rest due in April 2 weeks before delivery.

However, we added on an insurance that was 250 that we do not want anymore.

We would like to

a) just take off the insurance or

b) just cancel the whole order and start again somewhere else as we have changed our minds.

However,

after speaking with the salesman today over the phone he said we couldn't cancel the contract.

He did however offer to discount £100 off the insurance.

The fact that he is able to do this tells me that he is able to do more and perhaps even cancel the contract.

Has anyone had any experience with ScS and getting n order cancelled?

you can reclaim all the insurance payments and the interest they have charged on them.

Just cancel the insurance......and deduct the £250 from the balance owing. The insurance is an optional extra...its not mandatory to the contract

We could do with some help from you.
