Its a first post I'll be brief.

One year left on mortgage.

trouble with payments,

only £7000 left to pay and will be paid off next year.

Santander want to threaten me with litigation and take me to court.

I was forced to take early retirement couple of years ago due to cancer.

Any advice?

going through the usual channels RE debt advice, expenditure etc

cheers guys

have you all the statements from day one?

have they been charging you any arrears fees, letter fees, debt management fees etc

these are all unlawful and reclaimable.

also did they spoof you into taking out any stupid insurances?

the only thing that MUST be inplace is building insurance

and if you had that elsewhere already, then it shouldnt be charged twice.

p'haps a wee bit more info now you've got some pointer above would help too.

you say its a threat-o-gram and doesn't say will anything?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Mayb e this isnt helpful maybe it is... But i wouldnt think Santander would repossess a house which youve paid in full almost when only 7k remaining?

Surely a judge would see reason on this if it ever did go that far?

DX is right... HAve a look for insurances etc.

We could do with some help from you.
