Nat West sem to be stringing it out right til the bitter end, I'm afraid there's probably still a bit of waiting. I think about 5-6 months seems to be norm in most cases!!
hi its actually angela1606 here but can seem to log into my account so using this one for now anyway update claim was acknowledged and defended at the last moment good old cobbetts now then after defence came normal cpr18 request sent standard response have sent in aq on mon in person to courts now recieved today a letter offering £1700 am going to send again standard accept as part offer can anyone tell me if Lynsey Burgoyne has an email address as would like them to get it before xmas
ty hun i have been keeping an eye on yours nearly there i fee so bad for my mum she had a tough time with this mine was finished so quickly they being v v v cruel but cobbetts if you are reading this im fighting her case so be prepaid for a fight im ready for ya
ok update sent off letter accepting as partial offer only letter lol
recieved cobbetts aq response today poor mum in sweden for her 40th wedding anni i was hoping this would have been settled by now but oh well
right it seems they are not happy with the response to cpr18 they want claim struck out as i told them where they could shove the cpr 18 request with the standard letter.
they say they are happy for it to be in small claims but not happy that ive not sent them the cpr18 response i am right in thinking i dont have to respond
any suggestions as to what i do now do i just sit tight and wait or is there some type of response i did read of this before but cant seem to find it anywhere
Hi Ange how you doing hun?
It was my understanding that you didn't have to respond and that you just sat tight and waited I am sure if I'm wrong then someone will correct me. Nat West have proven to be amongst the most difficult of the banks to deal with but hopefully now you (and mum) won't have to wait much longer.
Take care

hiya boo long time no see after winning mine so quickly i knew Natwest was a pain but they have just been really cruel to my mum they now keep charging her for going overdrawn yet its their charges that have pushed her over it lol ty for response i thought that but i myself am now in new territory again as mine was settled just after starting claim well once this one is over i have been commisioned to do my aunties and bro in laws and his business partners lol so lots of donations heading CAG way when they all done
ok time for an update
so far sent prelim, lba, started court claim, acknowledged claim, subbmitted defence, recived aq, sent aq back with £100, recieved cobbetts aq, got court date for march 7th.
ok after hearing that a few who had started way after my mum had recieved their settlements i got my mum to phone cobbetts to find out what is going on seemed strange that she hadnt got hersconsidering what stage she is at.
seems that according to them they still havent recieved a response from my mum against the second offer they made just before xmas luckly mum sent it recorded del and they got it 28th dec. mum told them on the phone that she was not going to accept the £1700 and that she is willing to go to court, she then got told that it was down to their clients to decide if she was to be paid . to which my mum pmsl said well if i dont hear from you soon i will see you on the 7th then.
i had to laugh as its not like my mum to say things like that which is why im doing her claim.
so it sounds like the postie might be bringing something nice to her door v soon.
TO ANY BANK READING THIS WARNING IT MIGHT SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOU HEALTH LOL
WE HAVE A WINNER MY MUM HAS JUST BEEN TOLD THAT A CHEQUE IN THE FORM OF £3580.00 IS ON ITS WAY ALREADY BEEN SENT WOOOO HOOOO.
my mum wanted to thank each and every one of you for help given and that a donation will be made when it clears.
she only phoned up as last time she spoke to them they said they couldnt find the letter dated 27th dec rejecting thier offer and she had sent an updated schedule with all court costs on and interest (to make sure they paid up everything lol) and was told that yes they had found the letter sorry for delay but that a cheque had been requested and had been sent you should have heard her on the phone it was funny it was nice to hear my mum laugh again.

Has your mum discontinued her claim yet? I hope not. She can drop them a line, pointing out that she still hasn't received the cheque despite promises - and with some pretty tissue-thin excuses to boot. And advise them that she will not discontinue her claim until she is in receipt of cleared funds. If they wish to settle before going to court on 7th March, they should allow any cheque to clear in plenty of time before that date.

Nov 1 2006 Preliminary letter 21 Feb 2007 - cheque arrived for charges+DEBIT interest +Statutory Interest! Hurray!
Read all about it: natwesttookmymoney - v- NatWest
no have not done anything with the claim not until full amount in her account
now then she has spoken to someone at Natwest gave her the first el number in the contact list lol and a nice gent there has said the cheque will be sent tommorow and my mum will get it on sat (we hope) and as a goodwill gesture he is putting into her account overnight all the charges she has had since putting in her claim at court so if he is genuine it will show tommorow but he did say that if people send in thier claim to the borehamwood address they are now paying out straight away so there is hope for my aunties claim lol
