Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have removed my original post. I don't know what "trolling" is (and have no strong desire to learn) but it's disappointing some people have shown so quickly that they are not prepared to listen to or debate other points of view - because that's exactly what you are going to have to do in court.
Although funny on one level, it's actually also rather sad that Mr LTWFB assumes that anybody who does not agree with his world view must be Brian Smith: that man must fill your dreams, LTWFB. Have you seen the HSBC advert about human cloning? Do you think he's been cloned and a series of Brians now roam the globe to do you wrong? As I said in my original post - this is not personal: if you make it personal you will lose the objectivity you need to win.
Your certainly not trying to win any friends. I WOULD SUGGEST STRONGLY THAT PEOPLE DON`T REPLY. This could be considerred an attempt of trolling under forum rules.
Instead of posting any constructive comment you seem especially negative. In fact I guess that some people might guess you have an alterior motive... I hope you are not trying to put people off filing a claim?
With relation to personal comments, yes they are not advisable but alot of people feel passionate that Citi haven`t exactly been playing fair.
Hello Brian-or is it another of your legendary cohorts?.Whoever is giving you the gen at Craigavon needs to talk to the person who is dealing with it.You were rumbled from post no1.You can't fool anyone. The paperwork is all there and you know it.The first time you rang you again spoke to someone who didn't know what they were talking about. But I have ways and means of finding things out and getting things done you can't even guess at.
So stop tossing around and trying to sow discord on this site-where-incidentally you are not permitted to be a member unless you first PM a mod.
Your not as clever as you like to think you are.........
trying to hard to appear clever, and failing.....why would a court give out info to a stranger about someone's appeal-unless of course,he actually WASN'T a complete stranger to the case-otherwise the court would have breached data protection......which I will be pointing out to them when I pay them a little visit tomorrow!!
SHOCK HORROR-do you think he could actually be from citi????

what happened-did you lose the plums???ROFLMAO
Brian-you're only a minnion working for a bunch of dealers in usury. You don't fill my dreams-but I doubt if you get the chance to have too many of those yourself............ YAWN
I've been lurking on the site and in this forum for a while. I've gone through the S.A.R - (Subject access request) and lba and everything with Citi, just as I have with some other credit card companies
refreshinglyaverage

That would be a lie, then (allegedly). Not a good start.
The Citi forum is the most vitriolic I've seen on the CAG site (forum users are breaking site rules about personal abuse and the site’s moderators are not enforcing those rules)
If that is true, then please point them out to me, I shall edit personal abuse where it appears. This forum does not condone personal abuse. It does allow a certain latitude to people who have been deceived, lied to, mistreated at the hands of financial institutions they thought they could trust for years, who it turned out were abusing that trust. But with the ever-growing number of people who reclaim their unlawful charges, we can't, volunteers that we are, with a life of our own, monitor everywhere. However, every single case of abuse ever reported does get dealt with as swiftly as possible.
We know Citi visit this forum (a reasonable thing for a bank to do in these circumstances – I'm sure they are not the only ones)
It may be reasonable - it's also strictly forbidden by this forum's rules, where bank employees and associated must inform admin on registering, and agree to those terms & conditions (ironic, I know ) when registering.
all they need to do is print off all the insults, allegations and insinuations some forum users have made and present the papers to a judge as part of their defence that your case is not, in fact, a reasoned argument about the enforceability of damages clauses in standard-form banking contracts but is instead a malicious and co-ordinated personally-motivated attack.
Personally motivated? 92 236 people? Out of which, sorry for bursting a bubble here, but Citi is one of the smaller ones! (Let's see, 4 pages, there'll be some split threads, but let's not argue, 25 treads per page, oooh, that's a maximum 100 Citi cases in here!) Do you know, I think I would LIKE to see them trying that argument in court, and shatter every bit of credibility they might have otherwise managed. I must say, you have mad me giggle here. Thank you for that.
Now, let the abuse begin. This should be fun.
But I thought that was reserved for Citi lawyers? :-?
Ohhhhh, I SEEEEE!!!!!
Well, if anyone starts hurling personal abuse at you, you just come and tell me, honey, I'll edit it out.
Trolling is posting content intended on garnerring a negative response.
Your post was very one sided which would lead people to natural assume that you were not here simply as a member of the public.
Sure the banks have a right to defend themselves and no doubt have are structuring a defence, however your post had nothing positive included which would make you about as popular as sprouts at Christmas.
So you have outlined the negatives, what are the positives in a claim against Citi Cards?

The positive is that if someone has the guts to risk their home or their life savings and push a claim through to Mercantile Court, we will get a precedent that will - in effect - mean that we don't even need to issue county court claims: Citi and all the other banks will just pay up once a case has precedent value.
I can't speak for you but I'm not going to risk doing that because I'm not going to jeopardise the roof above my wife's and son's heads. That was why I suggested everybody calmed down and took a step back but instead it's just set people frothing at the mouth. If people misconstrued my intentions, I'm sorry but it seems that some people on these forums will not accept that there may be another legitimate viewpoint to their own.
Bookworm - I said I had been lurking, ie reading the forums, for some time (about four months, in fact). I only registered as a user this evening to make the case I tried to make earlier. I did not lie and it's rather worrying that a site moderator is prepared to make such an allegation. As a matter of courtesy, please would you retract that part of your post?
I would really appreciate it if my name was not splattered about any more-could a mod please change this thread title?
That was his first mistake, LTWFB. You got to him and he couldn't resist it. The moment I read the thread title I said to myself 'I wonder if that's Brian?'

you have a brass neck asking about courtesy-you are now insulting me in PM to another member?
and even if you are who you say you are,I'll be asking for your name tomorrow when I enquire at court about them giving out info(false though it may have been) about my case. And then I'll be raising some more awkward questions.....
