Hi All,

I know this forum is about getting yourself out of debt,

but I'm at a time in my life where I'm getting married so applied to my bank (RBS) for a loan of £2,000.

A small sum for a quiet wedding.

I have been a customer with them for years and have always been on good terms.

They declined me, for reasons unknown

- they know how much I make as they process the wages!!

Their website doesn't have appeal information so was wondering if anyone could help me out?

I would check your credit file on http://www.noddle.co.uk and also on http://www.clearscore.com.

Both are free to register and access your files and it may throw some light as to why.

Im not sure there is an appeal process for loan declination

but don't go rushing to settle any default

it wont improve your score nor remove any default

and for go sake

if its a DCA

NEVER EVER RING THEM

they ARE NOT BAILIFFS

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If you have been using payday loans, the bank will see it as an indication that you struggle to budget your finances. Regardless of how long you have been a customer, they will base their business decision on the data available to them. Payday loans will be a red flag as far as they are concerned. You could try appealing to the branch manager, but he/she is not obliged to listen.
