Some people are downloading it on multiple redundant low spec laptops, then using a piece of software, grab the CDkey it generates, then sell them afterwards.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

You upgrade, get the key and do a fresh reinstall.

Never ever upgrade a Microsoft Os. Always fresh install

How do we do that without risking disaster?

Since upgrading to windows 10 the laptop is slower than a crippled snail

Thats because of the drivers on the system that didnt get updated. The OS runs almost flawlessly, as long as you disable all the privacy junk. People seem to think all drivers and software, registry entries etc will be updated and perform flawlessly with an OS upgrade. Thats NEVER happened with a MS OS.

Please explain.

Most of us don't understand a word of what you mean 😞

I know how to do a fresh installation, but how to disable this privacy stuff you said.

What about drivers?

You mean third party drivers or Ms?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Are you aware that you can actually download Windows 10 to a flash drive to install at a later date.

Be aware though the flash drive needs to be 8gb and completely empty. It will NOT download all the updates though, you have to do that once installed

I've upgraded four laptops to Windows 10 with no problems, it resurrected two of them which had Windows 8.1 on and transformed the speeds.

I did disable varying security updates and some other odd bits that weren't needed, and have happy users.

Sometimes it is a good thing to totally stop automatic updates and just install the bits you want. I had to do that on an old laptop which kept stopping printing whenever Java was updated.

No, not yet. I use Win 8.1

Lots of reasons to stay with 8.1 including the old story of software and peripheral incompatibilities in 10.

I have upgraded to windows 10 and my laptop is sloooooow now ☹ .

I'm not expert in pc, so don't want to mess about with settings in case it goes wrong.

Compatibility with apps and other hardware is also an issue.

I have 2 printers, one that I use for black and white fast printing (cheap ink) and another for more important stuff and colour.

The first one is not compatible with windows 10, so I have to throw it away.

Not happy!

Thats the manufacturers fault. Not windows.

NEVER upgrade windows. ALWAYS do a full fresh, clean install
