    Default Barclaycard made me smile

I'm preparing the estimate for charges before May 04 as Barclaycard are struggling with microfiche... then I thought - when did I open the account? A quick phonecall to customer services and I asked this. Firstly she checked the account and went "ooh the customer loyalty department are now looking after your account" - strange - I've made no complaint to them... I explained that I simply wanted to know how long the account had been opened for, then she told me - since 21st Dec 01.

I just sounded bemused as to why she needed to transfer me to another department to ask an easy question, so she just answered it... I wonder how helpful the "customer loyalty department" would have been!

Ok, before I said what my enquiry was, she said that my account was being dealt with by the "customer loyalty department" and went to transfer my call.

My ex-Barclaycard best mate said it souns like customer relations - I guess they don't want any further enquiries dealt with by the call centre?
