    Default lost certificate

    Hi,

    I completed my HND in jul2004 but never recieved certification from my college I contacted my tutor, and college some time in 2004 and last year, the last answere i recieved was that they sent the document to my address and if i havent got it i should ring edexcel and request for new certificate to be produced and pay it by myself !! i already paid £12,000 for 2years HND and it wasnt my fault, ay suggestion on what to do?
    any similar situations?

    Could you find out if it was sent registered post and obtain proof of delivery?

    If not, then I doubt very much if you can do much about it. I was once in a similar situation, but they sent one out free of charge - maybe they were just kind.

    Lived through bankruptcy to tell the tale! Worked in various industries and studied law at university. All advice is given in good faith only

    I think that since its been over 2 years since you passed and a year since you last spoke to anyone regarding the matter, you will probably have to pay for a new certificate.
    If you had pursued at the time maybe you would have got somewhere.
    If they have a record of your enquiry i would think as you havent got back in touch they will close the enquiry and presume you had located it.
    I hope someone else can give you better advice and maybe a solution.
