Strange one this, When I arrived home today I had a missed cal on the telephone from a nimber I didnt recognise, so I rang the number and a woman answered asking who I wanted, "I dont know" I said, "I am returning a missed call", "but who do you want?" she says "well if I knew that I would tell you" I said. "Who are you?" I asked and on and on it went........... would have still been there now but decided to hang up.
Anyway its a Peterborough number does anyone recognise it 01733333555
pretty distinctive number realy.

I've had a couple of calls recently from a call centre, which turns out to be in India, representing A+L
I always ask for their full name before the usual security questions. Both had heavy Indian accents with a bit of english thrown in. One was named John Smith, and the other Judith Jones. Now I ask you, how gullable do they think we are..... never trust anyone on the end of a phone.

From the days of Empire, there are a large number of Indian people in certain areas who are Christian and have English ancestors. These people don't have Hindu or Sikh or Muslim names, thay have English sounding names. I have known several Christian Indians with really strong Indian accents and names like "David Cousins" and "Andrew Davies".
Just goes to show that stereotypes and prejudices are NEVER, EVER of any use whatsoever.
