Smile Where to send my second letter (LBA)?

    Hi all,

I have received a reply (dated 11 April) to the request for repayment letter I sent (on 10 April) to HSBCicon on behalf of my wife.

I addressed the letter to Customer Services, 365 Chartwell Square, Southend-on-Sea, Essex - the address on the credit card statement. They have given the stock answer that they consider their charges 'fair and reasonable', and if I 'wish to escalate' my complaint (most definitely!) to write to their Customer Relations Dept., enclosing a copy of their letter.

My question is this, the address they give is at 8 Canada Square, London, E14, not the address I sent the request letter to. So, do I keep to the original timeframe and send the lbaicon letter at the expiry of the 14 days from the 10th (i.e. send it on the 24th) or do I have to send another request for repayment letter to Canada Square and start from the beginning.

    Hope this makes sense!

Your help would be much appreciated.

This is just one of seven accounts I am pursuing -the total I am looking to claim back being £3315!

They have rejected your first letter - go straight to the lbaicon, and I would send it to the same place you sent the first...afterall they did reply promptly!

Don't let them knock you off your timetable.

Prepare yourself for a 2nd fob off letter after a few days.

Make sure that you have a parachute accounticon open... you may need it if threatened with account closure.

Make sure you are willing to go the next step (ie Moneyclaim) when you get the fob off letter.

    Good luck

Been through the system. Keep going... it works !
