Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Started my battle with Barclaycard back in Sept 06 and got the standard fob of about Microfiche storage. Thought then that I was going to have to fork out £126 to get statements. As was currently claiming with Barclays and had to fork out for MCOL fee etc decided to put this on hold.
I did however send a SAR to Barclaycard and as you can see from below I paid this off on 29/06/2004.
Barclaycard wrote back and sent me statements from the month prior to me closing the account until the present day. As you can imagine they were all the same and had different monthly dayes on them.
I was furious so phoned and gave the bloke on the phone a right ear bashing. He agreed to refund the £10 after I complained that he had not responded in a way that was of any use to me.
Having read the statement about the Information Commissioners investigation into Abbeys Microfiche system I feel that I need to get this one going again.
Has anyone else had the same fob off and complained to the Information Commissioner. If so what did you say in you letter? Also have you got any website or postal adresses for the IC office?
