Some assistance would be appreciated, I had some helpful advice here previously.

I received a PCN for parking in a car park when walking my dogs one evening.

I had no idea the car park was charged in the evening and as it was dark did not see signs.

I just assumed it would be free at that time of night.

after receiving the PCN and subsequent letters I ignored them in the hope that they would give up

(this worked last time I received a ticket)

however yesterday I received a letter informing the intention to issue County Court proceedings if I do not respond within 14 days. This is obviously a little concerning and I have attached the letter for information.

Interestingly they state the issue date was 02/10/2015 and the time was 14:23.

Now I'm not sure on the date off the top of my head, will have to look but it definitely wasn't in the afternoon

- it was about 9/10pm.

How have they obtained your name?

ah sorry, thought I had deleted all relevant pieces of personal ID. Have removed them now.

Not sure how they got my details, I presume applied to DVLA to find the registered keeper.

several things to note

- their client is ZZPS, who are only debt collectors

so have no standing or cause to make a claim against you or anybody else.

Wright Hassal are acting as a dca themselves to they cant do anything other than send out stupid letters as they dont have a client who has any say in anything.

It wouldnt matter if they or their client "intend" to do anything, they cant actually do what they insinuate.

They say the letter is complaint with Pre-action protocols

- no it isnt, they MUST be instructed by someone and that someone has to be the creditor,

the amount due must be only the contractually agreed sum

or the damages due as a result of your trespass so all in all it is just a begging letter.

If they do decide to sue then it will just be a waste of their money as they will lose from the moment you put in a defence

and they know it so I suspect that it translates as

" we have asked you before to pay us and you didnt

We will now try and scare you into paying and if you dont we will go away and sulk".

ok, that's kind of what I thought when I googled ZZPS, just the letter is quite convincing to a novice! Thank you very much for the advice and re-assurance!
