    Default jla v All and L

    hi, i have already started a claim v Lloydsicon bank and sent the first two letters.
    i had an account with All and l which has been closed and sent to debt collectionicon firm fredrickson international. i have been paying a small payment each month to try and clear the debt of around 2300.00.
    this amount had around 1000.00 charges on,does this cause any extra problems ?
    good luck to you all.

    Hi and welcome. It is not so straight forward when DCAicon's are involved but you can still claim. I would start with a S.A.R - (Subject access requesticon) to both the DCA and A&L and try to establish if the debt has been sold. During the 40 days you are waiting for them to comply read around the forums, especially FAQ's and step by step instructions and look in the Debt and bailiffsicon forum too for more detailed advice and information.

Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

    thanks caro, i have read about 1000 posts ect over the last month and have sent my lbaicon off to Lloydsicon{all going fine ect}
    i really do not have a clue what to do with this one, i have sent S A R to both alliance and fredrikson.i have enclosed 10.00 to both.
    I am sure the debt has been sold, but have to wait for statements anyway from all and leicester to work out amounts.

    Best to take it a step at a time, especially if you have a claim started already. You will probably find it helpful going through a simpler claim first so you get to know how it works, and will then be able to look at the less straightforward issues.

    I have been told by the DCAicon that they are collecting on behalf of alliance and leicester but do not own the debt.
    I guess that makes the claim a normal one if correct.I am waiting for my statements at present.
    By a dca being involved ,does this make any difference even if they are only collecting the debt.
    thanks for any help.

    I don't think it should make any difference. Seems straightforward to me from what you say.

    You just copy and paste them. Then you can amend them so suit.
