    Default JemimaP Vs Woolwich

    Hi all!

I have sent my first letter today requesting refund of my charges (£5,734.59). Obviously, i am expecting this to be ignored and i am quite happy to go to court if needs be.

What i am worried about though is, because if the severe level of charges causing me great financial difficulty i opened another account elsewhere.

This account is woring fine and my bills are now being paid promptly and i am not being charged. However on my woolwich account there was an overdrawn balance of a few hundred pounds (all charges) but this has now increased to over £1600 and they have referred it to a debt collectionicon agency.

What happens if they get me to court before i get them there?? I'm very scared, its a lot of money and they are adding more to it daily

I think you need to write to the debt collectoricon and tell them the the money is in dispute so they can`t do anything else until it`s settled.

I hope someone will corrct me if I`m wrong about this.

    Thanks.

I was thinking that too. I have yet to hear from the debt collectionicon agency but once i have a letter from them i will reply stating the amount is in dispute.

Received 2 letters in response yesterday.

The first dated 14th Nov. Thanking me for taking the time to tell them about my dissatisfaction blah, blah, blah and that they aim to resolve this matter by 12th December.

The second letter dated 15th Nov. "In view of the complex nature of the issue you have raised this has now been escalated to our Head Offcie Customer Relations Unit (Barclaysicon, Chruchill Place, London). If you remain dissatisfied you may be able to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsmanicon. If you are unhappy with any aspect of my response, please contact me and explain your reasons why. I will then review your complaint further."

I called the number given to be told they finished at 4.30pm but i left a message saying, yes i was dissatisfied as i had asked for my money back and that i would be continuing with legal proceedings on my timetable. i also added that, due to the financial problems this had caused me and the stress etc i was quite looking forward to seeing them in court!

lbaicon is due to go 24/11
