The same fate befalls Capital Finance One as it did to Cash Genie.

In my opinion they were the worst of the worst and I really hope they get the same treatment from the FCA and have to repay the money they extorted from people.

They are under investigation so it's looking positive.

I am in the process of claiming back charges from them.

I am waiting for their response to my formal complaint.

bound to happen with CFO - from the horror stories that I read of them on here, it was them and minicredit who appeared the worst. I dealt with Cash Genie and actually did not find them to be too bad. At least Cash Genie are honouring the redress - minicredit disappeared into the night!

Minicredit simply set up a new business and transferred everything to them. Then went very quiet as they are in a collection phase. We found that out a good while ago.

I agree with the above, for me minicredit were the most extortionate and CFO the most irresponsible.

These thieves dipped into my account for 4 months after I thought I had paid off the loan. They just rolled over my loan without my knowledge until I spotted it and cancelled my card payments. They then had the nerve to demand I repay the original loan + 1 months interest despite taking more than that out of my bank. They put a default on my credit file as a final gesture when I refused, and the Financial Ombudsman done nothing when I reported them, so the default stands to this day. I know it's practically impossible to get a default removed, but in these circumstances, there must be a chance.

yeah, renegade I believe the relationship between Minicredit/Opos and Kapama is incestuous but Minicredit have done this in such a way that the FCA cannot land a glove on them. I have bitter experience as it has enabled them to avoid honouring any upheld FOS complaints, of which I have around 2k in interest and charges owing.

Cash Genie and Wonga are at least taking their medicine - I have mentioned this before on other threads but I really cannot see how some of the smaller payday loan companies can withstand the restitution that may be coming their way.
