Question summary cause summons issued 26/10/06, received goodwill offer 9/11/06?

As i said in the title i had the summary cause summons issued by a solicitor on 26/10/06 (claiming £1434 including interesticon 8%). This morning i received a letter from b.o.s thanking me for my recent letter and offering a goodwill Full and finalicon settlement of £620. The total i was originally claiming was £2231 (split into 2 claims) but obviously now it's gone to the court i'm claiming interest plus court costs and cost of having summons issued.

My question is do i just ignore this letter because it doesn't mention anything about the court summons. The return date at court is the 12th december. or do i write a letter explaining i want original amount plus inerest on first claim and costs incurred?

From what I understand (and I am no expert) you refuse the goodwill offers, until you get an offer you are 110% happy with. If you've taken it further and incurred your own costs, then you need to get a settlement that covers any out of pocket expenses.

    hope that helps.

sounds like the usual stuff, they are jusy trying to buy you off. inform them you will accept the offer as part payment only and tell them you will continue with your claim for the full amount. although all claims are different, they will most likly offer you full settlement shortly before your court date, you just have to keep pushing them.
but at the end of the day its your money and your choice.
    best of luck BB
