hi all im new, 2nd november i have sent DPA and £10 off for my statements, looking forward to getting started and getting paid my money back. will keep you all posted on how it goes
Hi Soapy good luck with your cliam.
to get the best results spend as much time as possibel reading all Q&A and template lettters, and teh legal aspect of your steps.
i will request that this thread be moved to the main forum.
Should you ever need to find it typr soapy in the search bar above.
The SAR gives them 40days to respond. I would call them up and ask them why they haven't responded. There is probably a direct contact number at the top of the A&L page under contact details. If not just call Customer Services. It is a breach of the data protection act if they don't respond within 40days.
My advice is only my opinion, I am not a legal expert.

i still got 14 days b4 the 40 are up i laughed lots today tho coz they have cashed the £10 cheque for my SAR and are obviously gonna wait til the last minute
well least its the only satisfaction theyre gonna get
well the 40 days are up today i have sent a secure email to a&l and have telephoned them, no response as yet to email, will post letter today advising they have breached data protection and if needs be will file a complaint etc against them.
Hi soapy, if you used the standard lba template available on this site you will already have told them that your are giving them 14 days to comply (so dont go back on your word), be patient...........remembe r always assume that you will end up in court. The mindset I have is that the A&L will defend in court even though at the moment they pay up before an appearance at court is required, I can hopefully show any judge that I have acted in an honest and reasonable manner. GO FOR IT .
well heres my update i issued MCOL yesterday 18th jan and now all i have to do is wait. i cant believe the alliance and leicester couldnt be bothered to reply to my last letter, oh well hopefully the next correspondence i get from them will be a bit huge fat cheque!!!!!! wooo fingers crossed
