Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
You shouldn't ask for the 8% until you do your MCOL. During the early stages your just claiming the penalty/admin charges that they slapped on you as you may be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to take it as far as courts (chances are you will have to do the good old MCOL though)
You do not ask for interest untill you start court proceedings.
Go for it!
We haven't got the money, so we've got to think!

I think it is ok to do it now. There are 2 schools of though on this, but A&L have made their position quite clear so I would do the lba now, but stick to 14 days after that before doing your court claim to show you have given them a reasonable time to respond, and if necessary reconsider.
