Hi - can anyone advise me as to how much I should be charged for copy statements? Today I have phoned Sainsbury's bank credit card dept to request copy statements and the woman told me I would have to pay £5 per statement!!!! When I said that I had recently requested bank statements for the past 6 years (another bank), and they had only charged £10 for 400 statements she said they would do 3 for £10. I said this seemed extortionate and was it legal, to which she replied that they can charge up to £100 maximum. Is she correct? Am I going to have to pay £50 for 15 statements?!

Hi and thanks - I know it says that on the CAG template, but she was adamant. I think I will send the Data Protection letter rather than just phoning and asking for the statements.
