Hi all,
I have sent my 2nd letter to the Woolwich requesting that all charges be repaid to me (almost £2600) and received a letter dated Oct 4th saying that my complaint had been passed to Barclays. Judging by alot of the info on the forum this is the Norm but 4 weeks on i have no further contact from them. How do i play it from here?
Huge thanks

Hi
No i've just checked and i just requested repayment!! Should i have threatened court at that stage? I got letter templates from AOL and the third one actually states that i would make a court claim.
Thanks

Re: Advice re Woolwich please
I'm not too sure in that scenario, my instinct says you've done all the requesting so a court claim would be justified, but I'm not sure - but someone will come along to help. In the meantime could you post the letters you sent? minus personal info, or a link to the letters?
I typed them at work so can post them tomorrow if thats okay but i think i will send the third anyway, they very cleverly do not give a stated timescale in which to reply but the letter they sent does have a telephone number - do you think i should ring them???

Re: Advice re Woolwich please
Ringing them isn't really advisable - best on paper, but that's up to you of course. In any case good luck and keep us informed. I hope someone can clarify your options re submitting claim based on the letters you have sent - if you want 100% back this is probably unavoidable with the Woolwich/Barclays, but you'll getall the support you may need here!
I got them off Aol's home page , go to 'money' then 'banking' and somewhere it says 'how to make £100 from your bank'. I am so so grateful for your time and effort - i wish i had found this site sooner

Re: Default charges on account number [INSERT YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER]
Dear Sir/Madam,
I refer to default charges which have been applied to my account by [INSERT THE NAME OF YOUR BANK], amounting to [INSERT THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE BANK CHARGES].
I have been a loyal customer of [INSERT THE NAME OF YOUR BANK] for [INSERT THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER WITH YOUR BANK]. I have always maintained my account well and believe that the charges applied to my account do not reflect the cost to the bank of my account going into unauthorised overdraft.
I therefore ask that you repay the amount of all these charges, [INSERT THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE BANK CHARGES].
I am happy for you to contact me on [INSERT YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER] to discuss the matter.
Yours faithfully

id send the lba form HERE dont invite telephone conversations as they are not provable after the fact unless you tape them and you have to tell them you are taping it and they will probs hang up
id say you have more than asked niceley, give them 14 days or go to court ( you will probs end up there anywhere) also read up on the law of it dunno if AOL give out the info but check out the step by step here it will explain a lot of what you need to have fixed in your head before your start to fight. good luck and keep us updated
