Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I sent my letter off last week and recieved a reply today stating that they are happy to refund £408. This being the diffrence of £8 everytime they have charged me £20. i phoned up and as usual went through the person who i spoke to and he said that i need to confirm everything in writing. He also said we are settling this sort of complaint same day as we recieve a letter. So i said i wanted a cheque and no credit to go on my account and repeted the cra deal. He said he needs it in writing and by this time next week i will have the cheque in my hands. He assured me that htye wre unlikely to contest the total amount. So maybe he is telling the truth.
some are singles most are doubles. plus interest etc 52 @ £20 =£1020 plus intrest et also card misuse etc etc. My total amount comes to £*700 and a bit i am not at home so cant quote the exact figure.
Iis still going due to their charges etc. they closed it down last year with a balance of £740 . i was paying it off until i hit upon a problem last year. By the time i caught up with my payments and arguing with them i still owed them £260. The account is active with no credit limit and also no cards to be issued once the out standing balance is payed off. I can give you more details once it settles.
Got a reply. Iknwo the were lying through their teeth. I now have a letter saying they are not prepared to consider anything else. Was waiting for this. Putting in a claim today. As on Is will be free.
