Parked in a residents only space, the other side of the road was P+D lots of spaces.

Bought ticket £3 thinking all was good.

got PCN,

wrote to council before notice was served pointing out it was obviously a mistake

and I didn't intend to flout parking regulations knowingly as there we plenty of places to park

and I wouldn't of bought the £3 ticket.

They have replied saying no go I have to pay.

On the ticket itself where the offence is printed with codes etc it crosses the generic type on the ticket so it cant be read, does this make it invalid in any way?

They made it clear what the offence was in the reply email I got when I begged!

Thanks all

You might find it better to scan the document in, then covert it to a pdf format.

I'm afraid I agree - a very slim hope. At the end of the day, albeit unintentionally you were parked where you shouldn't be. Little to lose by appealing though.

.....but I have to pay full £130 if appeal fails as opposed to £65 if I pay it now!

No you don't, provided you appeal while the discount applies. It will be held at that rate until you get a decision, and then you'll get 14 more days to pay or decide what to do next.

so I already appealed see OP can I appeal a second time now?

Oh yes. I missed that bit. In which case, you're right - if you don't pay now you will be facing the higher charge.

I don't hold out much hope - but if you can get a scan available we can at least have a better idea.

I did try the prefixes in the url. I can get to the Sam Joyce website, just not that particular page, which doesn't appear to exist.

Wandsworth do occasionally make mistakes on their parking tickets so it you can get it up here the guys might be able to help.

I parked late one night in our street which has no parking restrictions and as it was dark I didn't see a sign on garden railings saying there was a temporary restriction for a move. They actually lifted my car out of the way and gave me two tickets - one for parking where there was a temporary restriction and the other for parking on a double yellow line. They cancelled both of them. There were no yellow lines, and temporary restriction notices are apparently supposed to be put up at least a couple of days before and be visible.

In your situation I think they may not accept an appeal about parking on the wrong side of the road, but you may be lucky if they've made a mistake on the ticket.

posting images directly on a thread typically slows everything down as they have to be rendered to see them

if they are converted to PDF and attached via the go advanced button

they can be downloaded at will rather than forced to view them on a slow

viable images in a threads makes cag slow

via this method the poster DOES NOT need 10 post.

its to stop spamming too.

The link has PCN in capital letters, when clicked it changes the PCN to lower case pcn so it wont work, delete lowercase and enter as PCN in caps and it will work....no idea why this happens!!!

Thanks

'Parked in a residents.......' is the only bit that's even slightly obscured, plus there is a 'Resident Permit Only' sign right outside no. 161 where you parked.

I can't see an adjudicator allowing an appeal on this one point.

I'd pay the discount before it disappears.

You can write whatever you like, but if you've paid it, they won't be in touch with you. As far as they are concerned, case closed. You've shut down the appeals process - but by all means write if you want to. You'll get a reply but it's pretty unlikely they'll give you your money back and re-open the case and issue you with a Notice to Owner etc. Not impossible, but unlikely.
