Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I sent my SAR to the Halifax on 27/9/06 and they will have recieved it 28th. The cheque was cashed on 2/10 ans still no statements have arrived.
I contacted Halifax twice and they said I would have them asap and at first denied that they had recieved the letter until I pointed out they had cashed the cheque that was with the letter, they then managed to somehow find the letter!
My 40 days time limit has elapsed, what should I do now?
I phoned them prior to posting on here and they said that they hadn't recieved the letter until 2nd Oct and therefore the 40 day deadline is this friday and they will send them before then.
This is different from what I was told before, plus I was also told they would be sent before today and they havn't!
So with them saying thwy will arrive before friday would you bother sending the letter or wait to see if they do?
