    Default ff49 v egg/mbna/smile/halifax/ulser bank/first trust bank

    hi everyone,

yes I am a newbie, but I have read quite a few threads, replies etc and feel very confident about what I am going to do. I have just sent SARicon requests to the above mentioned institutions via recorded delivery and I will keep you all posted on how I got on.

1 question I do want to ask is this: can I claim for REFERRAL CHARGE @ £12-£14 each issued by First Trust Bank and also for IRREGULAR A/C CHARGE of £11-£13 by Ulster Bank?
Any help would be greatly appreciated in this matter

I would think that you can claim for both of them.

Cooperative Bank - 08/11/06 acknowledged SARicon & stating that details will be rec'd within 40 days from date of their reply. IS THIS CORRECT?
First Trust Bank - 08/11/06 acknowledged SARicon stating EXACT same as Cooperative.
Eggicon Bank - 10/11/06 acknowledged SAR but has asked for proof of identification, supposed to forward original utility bill or bank statement. Also mentioned that if I do not respod within 28 days, that they will assume that I do not wish to proceed and they will close my file accordingly.

Can anyone tell me if they are correct in providing details to me within 40 days from date of their acknowledgement, as I thought it was from the date of letter requesting the details in the first place. I am so sure that I have already read this somewhere in this forum/site, I will check it up again though.

If I am correct, should I write back to them informing them of this requirement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

HI FF49. You really ought to start a seperate thread for each institution in the relavant place and people will be able to iffer advice on each bank.

To ty and answer your questions... (i'm not expert (yet))

Coop - they have 40 days from receipt of YOUR letter.
Eggicon: try reading this thread and see how this chap dealt with them: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...mcuth-egg.html

    Hope that helped!
