Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I haven't posted before (a bit shy and technologically challenged), but I am inspired to by the fact that the Woolwich have made me an offer of £600 against my demand for £1330 in charges. Actually, in the same post, I received a letter from them charging me £9 for being overdrawn as a result of them applying bounced DD charges...Anyway, I think I will pursue the whole amount, but I was wondering if it is advisable to accept the offer as an interim amount or do they just withdraw the offer anyway? I am not that great with paperwork, but the pleasure of sending the bank demands for money (usually, of course, the other way round) has kept me going...
I don't think that I have sent them a lba before now, just an initial request for repayment. Should I send them the rejection of offer letter you directed me too, and then a LBA?
