I was in a hurry and genuinely scratched out the wrong number on a parking voucher in error. (I work for the NHS and was ruinning late for an urgent appointment!) I scratched 13:30 instead of 13:00. The fine was issued at 13:15. It was issued in the London borough of Richmond.

Any hope of winning an appeal?

What type of enforcement?

Is this a Private Parking charge or a Local Authority issued Parking Charge Notice

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If it's a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) from Richmond upon Thames Borough Council then the best hope you have is some mitigation in writing to them pleading your case. I doubt it though and I would advise you pay up and take it on the chin.

It is a penalty charge notice issued by London Borough of Richmond Upon thames.

It's just very frustrating as I was only there for 1 hour (well within the 4 hour limit), had purchased a voucher and made a simple error!

Can you prove the times you were there and the times you were not?

Receipts, credit card or bank transactions, the urgent appointment, etc?

I'm not saying this will clear you of failing to display a correctly timed voucher but it might assist an appeal of mitigation.
