Hi. I don't mean to jump in on the back of this thread but mine is a similar issue.

I had to go abroad for a bereavement.

I was in the middle of moving house so

to be safe I took all my valuables with me,

now I can't find them

I'm heartbroken as it was my wedding rings and other sentimentally stuff,

I can claim on my travel insurance but

the most they will give for each item is £300.

My ring alone was a lot more. It's not just the money though.

If I bought the flight tickets using a visa debit.

Would there be any kind of claim for loss of goods?

Many thanks x

doubt it.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi Dom,

Your post has been moved from the thread (about a possible s.75 claim) where you posted, to a new thread.

There is no s.75 cover available. If you bought the flight tickets with your CCard, you would only be covered under s.75 if there was a problem with the flight.

Limited cover would be available on your travel insurance as per the T&C's of the cover you took out.

Your home insurance may also provide cover if you have it, but there may be severe restrictions on items lost outside the home.

:-)

We could do with some help from you
