Thread: Motivated at last!!

Have been moaning about charges to Nat West, Capital One, Capital Bank and my mortgage lender for years - totally pointless apart from the odd "goodwill" reversal of the odd charge or two.

In 2000 had a relationship breakup and difficulty starting a new business and caring for a child. Had a bad three years or so but much better now

However I found this site the other day and it has finally motivated me to do something about the ridiculous sums I have paid in charges to these institutions during that difficult time.

I spent hours yesterday going through all the old account statements and found that I have paid almost £4500 to these people since 2000 and all my many telephone calls and letters (most of which have just been ignored) have resulted in reversals of about £500. The amount involved was a real shock to me.

Needless to say letters are going out to all of them on Monday.

Thanks all for the motivation I needed to get off my arse and do something about it!! Will keep you updated if of interest to anyone.
